Susan,
You have been a great teacher, mentor, friend. I appreciate that you have taken the time to talk with me and help me develop an eye for what a quality collie should look like. You've been patient with me and my "pets" and rather than focus on their faults, you have helped me to see what good qualities are like in other collies so that I could then see for myself what changes I need to be making. I am grateful that you continue to patiently put up with my many, many questions. One of the neat things I have observed about you at shows is that you take the time to encourage and build up the competition no matter the quality of their dog and show them how they can make a better presentation even if it makes the competition stronger. You teach by example.

I appreciate so much that you've entrusted Ch. Prairiepine's After the Rain "Dixie" into my care. What a jumpstart to my kennel! I look forward to showing her and working towards her US Championship. You have also given me the opportunity to whelp champion quality pups - Ch. Prairiepine's Bon Jovi "Mitch" is a great example from Dixie's first litter.

The very best part, however, is that I've made a FANTASTIC friend and I look forward to great things together in the future.

Dear Susan,

After I bought my first show Collie, my mother saw your ad in Dogs in Canada, and she thought your Fred (Ch. PrairiePine Rumor Has It) was the most beautiful Collie she had ever seen and told me to contact you. For once in my life I listened to her! Little did I know that I was going to meet the most honestly generous person in the whole world, who also had beautiful quality Collies.

My first female that you sent out to me (Ch. PrairiePine’s Island Tornado) came into my life like a whirlwind. She finished by the time she was 10 months, all owner handled. She was the first REAL show quality dog that I have ever bought in my twenty years of buying show dogs. Thank you Susan for selling one of your good ones. She is not only my special girl but also now my wonderful foundation bitch. She has given me a stunning female puppy VanIsles West Of PrairiePine (Canadian pointed) by Ch. Hi Susan!

Dreamcatcher is doing wonderful! He is a big boy and growing more each day. He is not much shorter than my grown females. I cannot tell you how many compliments that I have had on him and these came from some of the biggest names in collies today. Everyone says that I have a future champion on my hands. We are in the process of training him for show and he will be shown this coming fall. I am so pleased with him. I want a nice female from you so let me know when you plan to breed again.
